The
performance characteristics of a floor are determined by the quality
of the installed product, the use of proper
adhesives and the substrate.There
are no particular differences between the installation of an interior
or an exterior floor. However, special consideration
does need to be made in exterior installations: |

1. Prepare an even surface.
2. Have a dry run by placing the tiles belonging to various boxes, satisfy
yourself for the total area and mark them.
3. Spread perfectly quantified mortar evenly on the tile bed one sq. mtr. at a time.
4. Do not use pure cement paste on the back of the tile which may lead tocracks on the tile at any later date due to underneath stresses development.
5. Fix the tiles with a gap of atleast 3mm. between each tile.
6. Ensure that there is no air pocket between the tile and base for even and solid floor.7. Tiles should be gently tapped after laying to ensure total mortar contact.
8. Fill the joints and clean the traces.
9. The Tiles purchased should be thoroughly inspected to have a proper and acceptable blend of colour patches, size variation to the extent of inherent nature of ceramic glazed tile.
